Active Lifestyles and Choices at Quince Orchard Park in Gaithersburg
We have active lifestyles that are complementary to Quince Orchard Park – We run, cycle, walk, and work out at the neighborhood gym. Our outdoor activities are on the walking path that stretches from Quince Orchard Road to Great Seneca Highway, Great Seneca Park, and Kentlands.
Within Quince Orchard Park, we have a community center and swimming pool, tennis courts, basketball courts, play areas for children, and many sitting areas along the walking paths. We particularly enjoy the peace and quiet of suburban life adjacent to the woods and fields of the NIST property. Furthermore, we enjoy seeing deer, foxes, squirrels, and varieties of birds in a natural setting from our spacious deck. The fall colors of the trees and the sound of the wind in the oaks are sublime.
Additionally, we love the ‘extra’ convenience of being close to everything at Kentlands complex, directly across the street – we can dine at some of the wonderful ethnic restaurants, go to the movies, shop at Lowe’s for our landscaping and home improvement projects, do our weekly grocery shopping at four grocery stores within four miles from home, and have the opportunity to shop at a tantalizing variety of specialty stores.
We can share some of the wonderful activities we have at Quince Orchard Park
- Take a quiet stroll from the house on the walking path to catch up with one another after dinner,
- My husband can cycle the Great Seneca Highway from Gaithersburg to Germantown, a nice ride after work,
- My wife can run the 10 K course at Great Seneca Park,
- Go to Bally’s Fitness Center and keep up with our fitness program by working out together,
- Enjoy our deck and experience wild animal life on the adjacent NIST property,
- Smell the grilled steaks on our neighbor’s barbeque, reminding us that it is time to catch up with them on what’s new in their lives and,
- Dash off on an impromptu ‘date’ right across the street at Kentlands with a nice dinner followed by a romantic movie (aka ‘Chick Flick’).
We love our Quince Orchard Park neighborhood because we have a country ‘quality of life’ within an urban setting that is complementary to our active lifestyle.
